DEBATERS’ CRICKET CLUB.
‘ The annual general meeting of
the above Club was held last evening in Mr J. W. Rough’s office. Mr Stiles being in the chair. The annual balance-sheet, which showed a small credit balance on the year’s working, was adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron —J. Stevens Esq. M.H.R. ; President —Dr Mandl ; Vice-Presidents —P. Hennessy, J. K. Hornblow, F. W. Frankland, E. Wilson, J. Symons and W. Adams. —Captain G. H. Stiles (reelected) ; Secretary and Treasurer J. W. Rough. Delegates to Cricket Association —Messrs Stiles, Woods, and Rough. Selection Committee —Messrs Gordon, Stiles, and Woods. The subscription was fixed at 7s 6d, to be paid within one month from date. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring secretary (Mr Mainwaring) for his untiring services during the year. The following new members , were elected ; Messrs W. Meadows, ,‘Kinnard, McCall, Rae-Howard, / Kirkley, Baillie, Littlejohn, Brown, Cargill, Fowler and Hunter, A practice will be held on Wednesclaj’ afternoon in the Park. Usual vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
