What tha Navy will bs Already for. Melbourne, October to. In the House of Representatives last evening a question, based on remarks made by Mr J. Ramsay MacDonald in a recent speech, was addressed to the Treasurer, asking if it was part of the policy of the Government to build a navy, and whether it contemplated a fight with Japan. Sir William Lyne replied that the question was stupid. The navy would always be ready against the enemies of Australia, but he hoped they would make no enemies. [A day or two since, Mr MacDonald, referring to a treaty between Japan and Canada, and the immigration, said it was his belief that Australians were preparing a navy to fight Japan.]
