BALLOON RACING.

Paris, October 1. Nineteen balloons competed for the Grand Prix of the Aero Club of Paris. The Le Nord, steered by MM. Belobel and Le Fers, won, after flying 160 miles. The balloon descended in the sea, north of Ostend, and the occupants of the car were thrown into the water. They regained the car by means of life-lines, and tied themselves in until a German liner rescued them. Five balloons are still missing.
