St. Petersburg, Sept. 21.

A Lodz spinner named Silderstein has been murdered by his employees for refusing to pay them their wages for a fortnight during which they were on strike. The troops and police surrounded the building, and subsequently arrested 800 of the employees. The St. Petersburg Bourse Gazette states that during the military manoeuvres near Vladivostock some Japanese officers belonging to the General’s staff, who were found in possession of certain maps and plans, have been placed under arrest. The Japanese Government has demanded the immediate release of the prisoners.
