ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Auckland, September x 6. Several members of a football team of Kaiapara natives, on returning home after playing a football match at Port Albert, were attacked with measles. Five of the team died. Whangarei, September 16. An old-age pensioner, John Morton, aged seventy-four years, was found yesterday hanging dead from a rafter in his whare at Hoey’s camp, Otaika. An inquest is being held to-day.
