KING OF ANNAM.
Abdicates in Favour of His Son. Bangkok, September 5. The King of Annam has abdicated in favour of his second son, aged eight years, who has been placed under a Council of Regency. [The King of Annam has lately figured prominently in cable news. He was a few weeks ago deposed by the French, owing to his “criminal lunacy,” which has been displayed in cruelties practised on members of the Royal Household.]
