The Manawatu Herald. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 1907. GAS WORKS SITE.

A special meeting of the Borough Council will be held this evening for the purpose of considering the gas works site. We understand a new site conprisiug of an area of one acre will be submitted by the Company for the Council’s approval. It is hoped the Council will definitely settle this matter this evening in order to allow the Company to start operations, which we are informed by their representative, they are anxious to do. The site to be submitted is at the rear of Mr Easton’s shop in Main street and is at present owned by Mr Easton, senior.
