RUN OVER.

Auckland, September 2. Ann Lindsay, a widow, 60 years of age, who resided with her sons at Epsom, was killed in Queen Street this afternoon. She was crossing the road when, in avoiding a tram car, she ran into one of Messrs A. B. Wright and Son’s express carts. The driver did his utmost to pull the horse up, but was unable to do so. The horse appeared to strike the woman on the head.
