It is stated that the Khatuas tribe, under whose escort Kaid Maclean was reported to be proceeding to Fez, have become furious against all Christians on learning of the bombardment of Casablanca.
The tribesmen have threatened to wreak revenge upon Maclean, who is being protected by Raisuli.
