The High Commissioner cables as follows from London :
Hemp market is steady, and a fair business doing; good fair Wellington on spot, ,£34 10s ; fair grade on spot, ,£3O ; fair current Manila oh spot, ,£35 10s; JulySeptember shipments, good fair Wellington, T 34 ; fair grade, £3O.
CLEARING SALE OF DAIRY STOCK.
At Messrs Saunders Bros, sale at Moutoa yesterday all lines were cleared at satisfactory prices : —2B cows averaged £6 8s fd, 3 late and aged fetched about £2 2s od each ; a total average of £6 for the 31 ; trap mare, ,£2l 10s od ; breeding sows averaged £4 18s qd each ; boar, £2 7s 6d. All sundries were sold.

OUTPUT FROM AUCKLAND
Auckland, August 5
The hemp graded at the port of Auckland for July totalled 2780 bales, weighing 444 tons, and should be worth about £ 11,500. The quantity graded for the corresponding period last year was 2237 bales, weighing 397 tons. This shows an increase of 34 3 bales, or 47 tons.
