FIRE AT VICTORIA,
Many scores of Buildings Destroyed.
Victoria, 8.C., July 24
A fire destroyed one hundred and fifty buildings in the city, including two churches. [Victoria, capital of British Columbia, is situated at the southeast extremity of Vancouver Island. It possesses Government buildings, a cathedral, public library, hospitals, factories, and electric trams and lighting. The population is about twenty-three thousand.|
