LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Company Ltd , Wellington, have received the following cable advice from their London house, dated the 24th instant: — “Sales closed firm. Greasy good merino wools —prices are on the average at par to higher than the closing rates of May series. All other greasy merino wools—prices are on a par with closing rates oflast series. Scoured good merino wools, — at par to Y d lower. Inferior and faulty descriptions, irregular, and prices are sto 10 per cent lower. Fine greasy crossbred, unchanged. Scoured fine crossbred wools, 5 per cent lower. Greasy medium and coarse crossbred wools, sto 8 percent lower, except bright shafty combining wools and wools suitable for America, which are on a par with last series closing rates. Scoured medium and coarse crossbred wools; slipes ; 10 per cent lower. Total number Of bales available (including old stocks) amounted to 168,000 bales. Out of the net quantity available for sale, some 84,000 bales have been sold for Home consumption, 55.000 bales for the continent, 5000 bales for America, leaving 24.000 bales to be carried forward to the next series.”
