KELLY GANG COMING.
Public Hall, Foxton. Next Wednesday evening, July 31st, at the Public Hall, by arrangement with Messrs I. and N. Tait, the stony of “The Kelly Gang,” by biograph, will be shown in living moving pictures. These desperate bushrauging days of nearly 30 years ago will be vividly reproduced in life size personalities. The pictures have all been taken at the exact locale of each desperate event, and faithful reproductions obtained by the engaging of a number of actors and actresses for months, who lived in the bush and dressed to represent the bushrangers and police, and after thorough rehearsals were gone through the cinematographic operators then “ took ” them, after which they shifted camp to the scene of the next position of the depredators career. The final burning of the Glenrowan Hotel is a piece of realism completely which carries away the audience, and makes them imagine they are witnessing the tragedy which closed the career of the last bushranging gang of Australia. In addition to the pictures of the “ Kelly Gang,” which are over 4000 ft. in length, and cost over to produce, a large number of the latest English, American, and continental films, will be shown. The season in Foxton is absolutely limited to the one representation only. The box plans are now open at Mr J. T. Levett’s Book Arcade.
