THE ILL-FATED KIA ORA.

Auckland, Yesterday. Inspector Cullen has received a telegram from Constable McCarthy at Kawhia, who estimates that eight persons were drowned in the wreck of the Kia Ora. So lar no bodies have been recovered. It has been decided to hold an inquiry into the wreck in Auckland. It was thought at first it would be held in New Plymouth, but most of the witnesses are here. The date is not yet fixed.
