Keepsrs Committed for Trial. Wellington, This Day At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., Philip Brewster appeared on remand charged “ that at Wellington, on May 4th, he did keep a certain room, to wit, a room in the prem'ses at the end of Ellers lane, in Wellington, as a common gaming house.” Charles Dunn was also charged with acting in conducting the alleged gaming house. Accused pleaded not guilty, reserved their defence, and were committed for trial at the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed, each accused in £SO and two sureties of £25.
