AMERICA AND JAPAN.
Washington, June n. There is much uneasiness in Washington, owing to the disquieting tenor of despatches from Tokio. There are indication that Mr Taft will make a call of courtesy upon the Japanese authorities while proceeding to the Philippines, and it is thought his visit may become a mission of importance. The bellicose language in the despatches is attributed to Mr Tani, leader of the Opposition in a speech delivered in the House of Peers at Tokio.
