A monster no-license demonstration was held in the Sydney Town Hall to-night. Mr F. M. B. Fisher, M. H. R. for Wellington Central (New Zealand), was among the speakers. The schooner Stanley has been sold to a Napier syndicate for service on the New Zealand coast. The barque Romi, which arrived yesterday from Kaipara, experienced exceptionally rough weather, and was compelled to jettison her deck cargo of 80,000 feet of timber. London, June 5. Lord Ronaklshay (Unionist) has been elected unopposed for the Hornsey division of Middlesex, in place of Captain Balfour (Conservative), who resigned. A native at Nairobi. Bast Africa, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment, and to receive twenty-four lashes, for attempting to assault a missionary’s daughter.
