FATAL TRAM MISHAP.
Christchurch, June 3
An elderly man, Robert Evans, was run over by a steam tram iu Cathedral Square at about 2.30 this afternoon. The man was attempting to board a special tram for Sumner, missed his footing, and fell beneath the car. He was shockingly injured, and died in a few minutes. Pie had been employed in the Addington workshops. Deceased leaves a widow and several children.
