An old resident of Wellington, Mrs Eliza Hook, wife of' Louis Hook, of 29, Hopper street, died at her residence yesterday morning, aged sixty-seven years. The deceased, a daughter of the late Mr George Mexted, for a considerable time a sheep-farmer at Johnsonville, arrived in Wellington by the ship Lord William Bentinck, in 1841, when but twelve months old, and had resided in Wellington ever since. The leaves six daughters three sons and many grandchildren.
