Dalgety & Company, Limited, Wellington, have received the following cablegram from their London House, dated 30th April. The wool sales have opened with an indifferent selection. There is a large attendance of buyers and competition is fairly animated. So far hardly any Merinos have been offered. Inferior and fine crossbreds are unchanged. Medium and coarse crossbred wools, in light condition, prices are lower by 5 per cent heavy, shabby and dingy, prices are lower by 5 per cent to 7 l /z per cent.
