It is expected that the writ for the Taranaki seat will be issued on Monday. In that event, the election will take place on Monday fortnight. An Auckland syndicate has bought the equipment of “ Wonderland,” of the recent Christchurch Exhibition. The work of dismantling and shipping it to Auckland will begin in a few weeks, and it is expected the grounds will be opened b}' the end of the year. The sight consists of six acres in Khyber Pass road. Mr J. J. Davis, Secretary Sandon Football Club, writes as follows to the Feilding Star : “ I see by your columns that Sandon and Awahuri are playing a combined team. I should like to contradict that statement. There are about four players, from Sanson playing for Awahuri. Otherwise Sanson is still playing a senior team in the]Foxton sub-union. No authority has been given for nominating a team in Manawatu by the Sanson Football Club.”
