A TOWN IN-ASHES.
Twenty Thousand Persons Homeless. Manila, April 20. The town of 110-ilo, on the southeast coast of Panay the central island of the Philippine Group, has been destroyed by fire. Twenty thousand persons are homeless. 110-ilo has considerable shipping trade. In 1887 the province had a population of 500,000, and the town about 12,000. In 1890 the population of the town had increased to 24,000, mostly natives.
