MASONIC.
A large gathering of Masons, from all parts of the Manawatu district, took place at Palmerston North last night, in order to attend the installation of Wor. Bro. j. A. Nash, as W.M. of Lodge Manawatu Kilwinning, and investiture of officers. R.W. Bro. R. Fletcher, Grand Superintendent, officiated as Installing Master and was assisted by Wor. Bros. W. H. Smith, A. D. Clemett (who invested the officers), H. J. Wylde, J. G. Nathan, Bowater and A. E. Bennett. The following are the names of the officers installed:—■ W.M., Wor. Bro. J.. A. Nash, P.M. ; 1.P.M., Wor. Bro. A. E. Bennett ; S.W. , Bro. W. A. Browning ; J.W., Bro. A. N. Gibbons ; D.M., Wor. Bro. L. Simmons, P.M.; Secretary, Bro. C. S. Rush : Treasurer, Bro. J. Hepworth; D.C-, Wor. Bro. W. Dawick, P.M.; S.D., Bro. J. Laurenson; J.D., Bro. W. H. Collingwood; 1.G., Bro. G. Torstonson; S.S., Bro. De Luen; J.S., Bro. A. Clark; Tyler, Bro. J. Whalley. After the ceremony the brethren adjourned to the Foresters’ Hall, where a sumptuous banquet was partaken of and the usual Masonic toasts honoured.
