New York, April 9. The Thaw trial has been resumed. Mr Delmas, counsel for the defence, addressed the jury, contending that the only assertion in evidence against the truth of Mrs Thaw’s story was the word of the lawyer, Abe Hummel, whose evidence was obviously perjury, for the affidavit represented him as her legal adviser, which he denied under oath, because otherwise he would have been unable to give evidence against her.
