BAZAAR AND VILLAGE FAIR.

The Borough Band Bazaar and Village Fair, which opens tomorrow, has the appearance of a successful venture. The ' committee has been busy erecting the various stalls, and the ladies have transformed the interior of the. grim hall, giving it a charming appearance; Our representative had a hasty glance round to-day and is sanguine of the effective, display in all the stalls- Mr O. Austin has loaned his South Sea. Island curious as an exhibit and they are of a very interesting kind, from the spears and clubs to the articles of the culinary department of the Islanders. The Committee, express keen appreciation of Mr Austin’s kindness. Further items have been received for the entertainment. Mr Jefferies, Palmerston, will give an item and Miss and Master Crighton will add a few dainty dances I .' The Bazzaf will be opened at 3 o’clock to-motrow afternoon by Mr P. Hennessy,; President of the local Chamber ; of Commerce. :• .
