The World’* Championship.

Wanganui, Saturday.

On the understanding that George Towns intends ..forfeiting the world’s sculling championship to his brother Charlie, Mr W. R. Tuck, on behalf of Webb,, has deposited £ too with the editor of the Herald to bind a match for the sculling championship. . The challenge has been cabled to Towns and the Sydney Referee. Webb suggests that the race be rowed on June 29th.

Sydney, April 7

George Towns has relinguished the sculling championship to his brother Charles.

It is believed the latter’s first match will be against Webb, of New Zealand.
