RACING.
The Fellding Easter.
By “Probable.”
Racing folks will have numerous meetings to engage their attention during Easter, but Foxtonians will be more greatly interested in the Feilding gathering of Monday and Tuesday next. At time of writing the. weather does not promise too well, but there is time enough for the elements to change their tune. Special trains will run from this end of the district, and these are likely to be well patronised. Fields will probably be large and racing good, and fine "weather alone is needed for Feilding J.C. to establish another record. The finishes on Monday may be fought out by the following:— Mangaone Stakes. —Full Rate or Splendid Idea. Trial.—Spinosa or Pixie. Kawa Kawa Hurdles. —Gold Dust or Handsome Rose.
Taonui Hurdles. Southern Cross or Ngatama.
Cup.—Douche or Gayeley. Onepuhi Welter. —Rendrock or Te Rahui.
Halcombe. Welter. —Milennial or Makikihi.
Onga Hack.—Kaiuku or Lady Beresford.
Waitapu is the only Foxton representative engaged at Wairarapa, and as .the racing at Masterton last week must have improved the big bay, should the track be in fair order, Toney Messena’s charge should register a win before he returns home.
