FOX TON BOROUGH COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. THAT in pursuance and exercise cf the powers vested in it in that behalf by the “Local Bodies Loans Act 1901” and its amendments and by virture of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in terms of section 118 of “The Public Works Act” 1905, dated the Fourteenth day of December 1906. The Foxton Borough Council resolves as follows ; That for the purpose of providing the Foxton Borough Council’s share of the cost of construction of a. bridge (including approaches and protective works) over the Manawatu River near Shannon, known as the Shannon bridge. The site of the said bridge, approaches and protective works being more particularly delincd on the plan marked “R 2749” deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads Wellington, and shown thereon in red, the Foxton Borough Council borrow from the Colonial Treasurer, the sum of six hundred pounds for forty one years at four and a half per centum per annum as provided in sub clause C of section 8 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act 1903.”

The Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six hundred pounds sterling, authorised to be raised by the Foxton Borough Council, under the above men- ' tioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Fox--1 ton Borough Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge (including approaches and protective works) over the Manawatu Fiver near Shannon, known as the Shannon j bridge, the site of the said bridge approaches and protective works being more particularly delined on the plan marked “ R 2749 ” deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, Wellington, in the Wellington Land District and thereon shown in red colour, such loan to be at four and a-half per centum per annum for a period of forty-one years, the said Foxton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate i5-x6ths of a penny in the pound, upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the boundaries of the Foxton Borough and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly, at the Council Office Foxton on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of forty one years or until the loan is fully paid off.
