The Masterton Times says: The decision of the Defence authorities to abandon the Brigade Camp at Himitangi has not given satisfaction to local volunteers. Fully forty members intended attending the camp as at first arranged, but if a battalion camp is now substituted, the number is likely to be below thirty.
