VARSITY BOAT RACE.

Won By Cambridge. London, March 17. Cambridge won the sixty-fourth inter-University boat race. The race was rowed in a strong wind, with choppy water. Oxford won the toss, and chose the Surrey side of the river. Cambridge, which had an exceptionally strong crew, led throughout, though Oxford made a plucky struggle. Cambridge paddled home winners by four lengths and a half in aomin z6sec.

The record to date shows twentynine wins for Cambridge and thirty-four for Oxtord. There was a dead heat in 1877. Cambridge won last year by three lengths and a half, in 19mm 24$ec.
