POLICE COURT.

At the local Police Court this morning, before Alex. Cockburn, J.P., Edward Higgins was charged with drunkenness on Saturday night. Constable Woods said accused was helplessly drunk.' Fined 5s or 24 hours, Allen Pink was charged with obstructing the police when .effecting the arrest of Higgins, Accused pleaded guilty. The Bench pointed out the seriousness of the offence,' and stated accused had made himself liable to a fine of £2O or three months. He was fined 20s and costs ss.
