FOXTON BOROUGH GOUNCU. SPECIAL ORDER. THAT in pursuance and exer- ; cise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the “Local Bodies Loans Act 1901”' and its amendments and by virture. of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor,, in terms of section xiß of “The Public Works Act” 1905, dated the Fourteenth day of December 1906. The Foxton Borough Council resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing the Foxton Borough Council’s share of the cost of construction of abridge (including approaches and protective works) over the Manawatu River near Shannon, known as the Shannon bridge. The site-of the said bridge, approaches and protective works being more particularly defined on the plan marked “R 2749” deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, Wellington, and shown, thereon in red, the Foxton Borough Council borrow from the Colonial Treasurer, the. sum of six hundred pounds for forty one years at four and a half per centum per annum as provided in sub clause C of section 8 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act 1903.” THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies Loans Act 1901 ” and by virtue of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in terms of section 118 of “The Public Works Act 1905 ” dated the 14th day of of December 1906. The Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows \-rThat for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six hundred pounds sterling, authorised to be raised by the Foxton Borough Council, under the above mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Foxton Borough Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge (including - approaches and protective works) over the) Manawatu River near Shannon, known as the Shannon bridge, the site of the said bridge approaches and protective works being more,, particularly defined on the plan marked ‘ 1 R 2749 ’ ’ deposited in the office of the Chief;, Engineer of Roads, 1 Wellington, in the Wellington Land District and there- ■ on shown in red colour, such loan to be at four and a-half per centum per annum for a period of forty-one years,, the said Foxton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate 15 -16ths of a penny in the pound, upon the rateable value of all rateable property., within the boundaries of the Foxtori Borough and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly, at the Council Office Foxton on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of forty one years or until the loan is fully paid off. 1
