FOXTON CO-OPERATIVE BUILDING SOCIETY.
Meeting of Directors.
The first meeting of directors was held in the registered office of the Society yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs P. Hennessy, Morgan, G. H. Stiles, Alex. Ross, Frankland and the Secretary (P. H. Rae-Howard). On the motion of Messrs Morgan and Stiles, Mr P. Hennessy was elected Chairman.
In thanking his fellow directors for the honour conferred upon him, Mr Hennessy said that although the working of such a society was new to him he would do his best to satisfactorily carry out the duties devolving upon the office. Mr Morgan was appointed vice Chairman.
The solicitor’s report was read and received.
On the motion of Mr Frankland it was resolved that the number of shares he limited to 300. ' It was resolved that the Palmerston North Star Bowkett Building Society’s rules be perused by the Secretary and altered to suit this Society then be submitted to the Solicitor for his perusal.—Carried. '
Proposed by Mr Stiles, seconded by Mr Rcss, that the Society procure a sign plate for the office. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Stiles, seconded by Mr Morgan, That the seal ofthe Society be a circular design with the words “ Foxton Co-operative Building Society, 1907 ”in the centre. —'Carried
After discussing matters of minor importance, the meeeting rose.
