Majority for Hot Volk. Mr Botha Confident. Pretoria, February 28. The final results of the Transvaal elections show the strength of parties to be as follows : Het Volk ... ... ... 37 Progressives ... ... 21 Nationalists ... ... 6 Labour ... ... ... 3 Independents ... ... 2 Mr Louis Botha, leader of Het Volk, has written an open letter of thanks to Het Voik and to the adherents of a policy of unity. He expresses the hope that by new legislation and administration, the peace, prosperity and contentment of the entire population may be promoted. He appeals for the cooperation of all.
