A SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A FATHER.
FAHiatua, Tuesday. At a special meeting of the S.M. Court yesterday, Thomas John Leslie, of Pongaroa, was charged with having indecently assaulted his daughter, seven years old. Accused reserved his defence and was committed to the sitting of the Supreme Court at Palmerston N., on Monday next. Bail was allowed in two sureties 0f.£200 and himself in jQ 2OO.
