PUBLIC SCHOOL CONCERT.

The Second weekly concert in the upper sewing class on Friday afternoon, was, if possible, more successful than the first. The items were all well rendered, and where the youthful performers were all volunteers, it would be hardly fair to individualise. Miss K. Spelman again ably played the accompaniments, and the monitors (Miss F. Gook and Miss K. Berthoid) drew up the following excellent programme, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the girls. Overture, “The Flying Scotsman” K. Spelman; song, “Clorine” E. Alzdorf; song, “ Her Name is Rose ” F. Osboldstotte ; recitation, “ Work and Play” E. Cooper; song, “The Band of Gold” M... King; song, " Good, old Summer Time ” E. Reeve; piano solo, “tire Petite Fleur” K. Berthold; song, “Won’t You Buy My Pretty Flowers ” E. King; recitation, “The Busy Housewife” A. Young ; song, “ Why Don’t They Play With Me ” E. Reeve ; song, “ The Old Rustic Bridge ” M. Wanklyn : piano solo, “ The Mocking Bird ” G. Gavey ; song, “Molly” N. Arbon; march, “Manhattan Beach” K. Spelman.
