PHYSICAL CULTURE.
A sound mind in a sound body should be the desire of every man and woman. Too often we neglect to take proper exercise and, consequently, certain organs of the do not perform their functions properly. Then we complain of feeling unwell, rush off to the doctor, etc. If we took proper exercise, slept in • bedrooms with windows flung wide open throughout the season, our health would be much improved. Our representative, in a conversation with Mr R. O. Jarrett, the well-known instructor in phj'sical culture and deep breathing, learned that Mr [arrett would be pleased to open winter classes for men and women in Foxton, provided a guarantee of 25 pupils, males and females, was forthcoming. We shall be pleased to receive the names of all desiring to join the classes, and when the required number is handed in we shall communicate with Mr Jarrett, who has promised to give a public exhibition and lecture. We shall deal more fully with the matter in a subsequent issue.
