PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A meeting of the Foxton charge cf the above church was held in the local church, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. I. Jolty, moderator, presided. A request was read from the Tiakitahuua Church to be attached to Palmerston and Carnavon to Bulls. On the motion of Mr Hornblow, secondee by Mr Speirs, seur., it was decided to advise the Presbytery that while sympathising with the request the time was not opportune for dividing the charge. Several other important matters were attended to, and the meeting rose.
