NEW INVENTIONS
New York, J an. 15. Hudson" Maxim, of New York, Sir Hiram Maxim’s brother, has invented a compound called motorito. It generates steam in a form that can be used as a propellant for torpedoes, trebling their efficiency. Professor Parker, of Cor.mhia University, claims to have invented a metal filament for lamps which will be forty-five times as efficient as the electric carbon filament.
