Auckland, Jan. 14
A young woman named Lily Martin, while crossing Pitt street on Saturdayevening, was knocked down by an electric tramcar and sustainel a broken thigh, a bad scalp wound,, and a fractured shoulder bone. She was removed to (ho hospital in an unconscious state. Her condition is very serious. Napikr, Jan. 14.
Mary Ann Hill, charged with concealing the birth of her child, has been further remanded, being too ill to appear.
