Loss of Life by Fire and Submarine Disturbance. Berlin, January 12, A fire attended with fearful loss of life is reported from Geispolisheim, Bhenish Prussia. A conflagration occurred in a factory where a large number of workpeople > were engaged in the manufacture of nr’ichjs. The buildings were ■||jSlipfetely destroyed. Twenty youths and girls who were unable to escape were burnt to death. London, January 12, • By a disastrous wave, caused by a submarine disturbance, three hundred persons were drowned at Tannah Island, off the coast of Sumatra. Forty others were drowned at Puls, Bahi Island.
