INSANITARY BUILDINGS.

Somk time ago we drew attention to the fact that there were a number of houses in the borough which should either be pulled down or made fit for human habitation. But so far no action has been taken by the officer responsible for this duty. The Council has power under section 349 ot the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, to give notice to the owner of any building unfit for human habitation to pull it down within a certain time, failing which the Council has power to do so and recover cost of same from the owner. We hope some enterprising Councillor will take this matter in hand.
