Ungallant Conduct.
[TO THE EDITOR] Sir. —" Where ignorance is bliss tis folly to be wise," was amply demonstrated at the beach on Sunday afternoon last. A set of three hoodlums arrived in a rather smart turnout and displayed their ill-bred manners by causing annoyance to a few of the tender sex, who were trying to enjoy themselves in a quiet and pleasurable dip in the briny, by deliberately driving round and round them, and even went so far as to almost run over one of them. One would think by the curiosity displayed by these hobbledehoys, who represent themselves as gentlemen, that the anatomy of the human frame was something extraordinary. Surely if such conduct qualifies the gentleman all I can say is that the colonials are deteriorating in morality. Trusting I am not taking up too much of you valuable, space, I am, yours, etc.,
An Admirer of the Fair Sex. [We would suggest that our correspondent forward the names of the " young gentlemen ” to the police in order that the matter may be further investigated.— Ed. H.
