CRUSHED ALIVE NIGHTLY.
All Paris continues to crowd nightly to the Eobes Bergere to' witness the sensation of the moment’ entitled “ Ecrase Vivant” of “The Man Crushed Alive,” said a telegram on October 27th. The man lies on the stage and first of all allows a huge motor-car of 4oTxorse-power, weighing 5000 pounds, to go over his foot. It then travels in the same manner over his head, and finally he lies at full length while the machine, which is full of people, and which with its load, weighs three tons, is driven across his body. Shrieks of fright from nervous women echo through the hall, but the “crushed” man seems none the worse for his astonishing experience, although the great wheel of the vehicle seems to crush a lurrow in his waist.
