THE PAPAKAIO MURDER.

After a trial lasting two days and a half John ‘Findlay was to-day found net guihy of the murder of William Hay Rennie, at Papakaio, on October 3rd. On leaving the Court, Findlay was rearrested, charged with (on September 26th, at Oamaru), stealing a bicycle, valued at £i3 xos, the property of Oates, Lowry and Co. He was at once brought before Mr C. C. Graham, S.M., and pleaded guilty to the offence. The Magistrate look into account that accused had been ten weeks in gaol, wailing for the trill, and sentenced him to fourteen days’ imprisonment.
