GENERAL GORDON, bred by Mr John Boag, of Brookside, is by Sutton’s Victor, dam Marchioness I, g dam Princess Maud 111. General Gordon was very successful in the Show ring. He took six ists, two 2nds, and also Special and Champion Prizes in 1888 and iBB9. Victor (Sutton’s) by Conqueror (imp. from Scotland), lie took seven Ist prizes, four Specials, and Champion Gold Medal twice. Marchioness I, gained sixteen Ist prizes, seven 2nds, and eighteen .Specials and Champion Gold Medal, and she was first seven times with two of her progeny. ROB ROY 11. was shown at Ellesmere as a yearling, taking Ist prize.
