PIGEON SHOOTING.

A Protest.

CnKisTCHUHcn, Dec, 4,

At the meeting of the committee of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last night, some discussion took place in regard to pigeon-shooting. It was stated that public opinion was growing against this so-called sport, and the action already taken by the society had resulted in the stopping of one pigeon match. It was resolved to have a petition prepared for presentation to Parliament when it next meets, also to have a bill prepared, and to send a deputation on the subject to the Premier.
