General Picquart, the French Minister of War, has decided to adopt the baloon La Patrie for use in the army, experiments which have been made with it having proved completely successful. A FAST TRIP. London, Nov. 29. Mr Leslie Buckmall travelled by baloon from London to Vevey, on the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland—a distance of nearly five hundred miles—in sixteen hours.
