Wmixington, Yesterday,

John O’Keefe, charged with sheep stealing, The jury returned a verdict of not guilty. - Thomas Brierly, charged with forgery and uttering was admitted to probation for twelve months. Albert John Stannard and Arnold Harold Wilkes, charged with assault and robbery, the former was sentenced to nine months and the latter was granted probation. Mary Ann Guy, convicted of manslaughter of an infant was sentenced to three years.

James Wills, for sheep stealing, received two years.

James Robertson, for theft of ,£2025 13s id, was sentenced to three and a half years. Maraia Neary, charged with assaulting a woman at Palmerston, was acquitted. Marion May Emmans, found guilty of concealment of birth, was remanded for sentence till M onday.
