Mr Holmes, of Messrs Abraham & Williams, Palmerston N. informed a Herald representative that if a local syndicate constructed a light tramway to the beach he was certain that it would repay their enterprise. At present Palmerston people were precluded from spending the week end at the seaside by reason of the very bad means of transit. He praises the Foxton beach as an excellent seaside resort.
